At Coast Connect, we understand how essential a reliable internet connection is to your daily operations, whether for business or personal use.
Unexpected issues with your inside wiring can lead to service disruptions, and repair costs can quickly add up. To provide our subscribers with the highest level of protection and minimize service interruptions, we offer the Fiber Protection Plan.
Plan Overview
The Fiber Protection Plan offers comprehensive protection against repair costs associated with inside wiring issues. With this plan, you receive up to three free repair visits per year, ensuring that any wiring-related service problems are promptly and efficiently resolved, helping you avoid unexpected repair fees. This plan is available to all residential and business subscribers.
What the Plan Covers
The Fiber Protection Plan covers the following services and repairs:
Repair and Replacement of Inside Wiring: Covers repairs of inside wiring due to normal wear and tear or simple negligence. This includes any repairs necessary to restore internet service when the issue is located on the subscriber’s side of the network interface device.
Repair or Replacement of Jacks and Wiring: Coast Connect will repair or replace defective jacks and wiring located inside the subscriber’s premises. The standard service includes surface mounting of replaced wiring to ensure functionality is restored efficiently.
Three Free Repair Visits: The plan includes three repair visits annually at no additional cost, covering labor and material costs that would otherwise result in a service fee.
Internal Wiring in Detached Structures: The plan covers internal wiring repairs in any detached structures on the same premises as the primary service location, though wiring leading to the detached structure itself is excluded.
What the Plan Does Not Cover
While the Fiber Protection Plan provides extensive coverage, there are certain limitations. The following items are excluded from the plan:
External Damages: Damage caused by natural disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, lightning, wind, or fire) or other casualty events that require extensive property reconstruction.
Willful Damage or Gross Negligence: Repairs necessitated by intentional damage, vandalism, or gross negligence are not covered under this plan.
Pre-existing Faults: Wiring that was already defective or did not meet Coast Connect’s technical standards at the time of service activation is not covered.
Third-Party Equipment Damage: The plan does not cover repairs for damage caused by subscriber-owned equipment, including telephones, alarms, and other devices connected to the network.
Concealed Wiring Requests: Requests to repair or install wiring that is concealed within walls or structures will be billed separately. This plan covers standard surface-mounted wiring replacements only.
Access Restrictions: In situations where access to wiring is restricted (such as in rental properties or military housing), repairs will not be performed until full access is granted.
Subscriber Responsibilities
Subscribers who subscribe to the Fiber Protection Plan are expected to ensure the following conditions are met in order to facilitate any necessary repairs:
Wall or Ceiling Access: Subscribers must arrange for any necessary wall or ceiling cutting or patching in advance of repairs, as this is not included in the plan.
Reconnection of Devices: After a repair is completed, subscribers are responsible for reconnecting any devices (such as alarm systems or meters) affected by the service interruption.
Device Reprogramming: In the event that devices require reprogramming after service interruptions, it is the subscriber’s responsibility to restore them to normal operation.
By subscribing to Coast Connect’s Fiber Protection Plan, you can rest easy knowing that your internet service will remain stable and that unexpected wiring repair costs are minimized. Our skilled technicians are ready to resolve any inside wiring issues promptly and efficiently.
