CoastConnect delivers high-speed broadband internet and phone service to rural residents and businesses in Hancock, Harrison and Pearl River counties. Our next-generation technology enables subscribers to cross the digital divide and receive the same – and in some cases, better – internet and phone service as those who live in higher density areas. The state-of-the-art fiber network brings a much-needed service to enhance economic development and improve the quality of life in our local communities.
CoastConnect is a subsidiary of Coast Electric Power Association, a cooperative that has reliably delivered electricity to its members for more than 80 years. Just as Coast Electric was formed to bring power to rural areas, CoastConnect was formed to bring world-class, high-speed internet service to rural areas. CoastConnect is a separate, stand-alone subsidiary and its operations do not impact any Coast Electric Power Association member's electrical costs.
We’ve Done This Before.
Just as electric power associations were formed in the 1930s and 1940s to electrify rural areas and improve quality of life, CoastConnect will enhance economic development, make emerging telemedicine possible and provide students with the same tools as their classmates. Consider it a critical spoke in modern day infrastructure.
