When can I file a job application?
CoastConnect accepts job applications when an opening occurs. Job openings are posted on CoastConnect’s website and can be accessed by clicking “View Job Listings” button above, or directly accessing our Current Job Listings page. Job openings are also listed on the Mississippi Department of Employment Security website at www.mdes.ms.gov.
What is CoastConnect’s policy on hiring relatives of present employees?
No job will knowingly be offered to anyone who is related to the second degree by blood or marriage to an employee or director. Examples of those excluded are husband, wife, father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent-in-law and grandchild-in-law. If an employee should marry another employee, the employee with the least tenure must resign unless the other so chooses.
How old do I have to be to work at CoastConnect?
State and federal laws have regulations governing employment of minors. In order to strictly comply, we have set 18 as the minimum age at which we will accept a person for employment. Proof of age may be required.
Do you hire students for the summer?
Yes, in some instances we hire a few students during the summer. If you are interested, you should follow the same procedures outlined on this site. Students are hired for temporary positions only.
